Alexander Grubman biography

Firstly, they said, he was a “Varangian”, a visiting one, somehow forgetting that the lion's share of those who raised Chermk are also not local people. Secondly, he was from Coca-Cola, although, in fact, to Cherepovets, Alexander Golobman was tested by severe mining reality, already working in Severstal. And by the way, the Coca-Cola company, which came to Russia at the beginning of X, raised a lot of excellent managers of the new generation.

Consolidators who know how to unite people around them, masterfully creating conditions for employees of the best business qualities. Management of people is a task no less, if no more complicated than production management. And high -class professionals should do this. According to Alexander Golubman, he is never bored. Because he does what he loves, and the fact that he, as his colleagues say, turns out very well.

This is work with people. Why are you doing this? I also visited Goritsky and Spaso-Prilutsk monasteries, in Sizma. I had an extensive tour of Vologda. Why am I doing this? Firstly, it is just humanly interesting to me. Secondly, such trips help to better understand the Vologda region where I work and live. And what did you understand? I saw how they are careful about the historical heritage.

Moreover, not only those who are laid on duty, but also ordinary people. I learned, for example, that Vologda almost became the capital of the Russian state. And then, perhaps, I would not be born in Moscow, but in Vologda, but in general, according to the results of such tourist sorties, I got the impression that Vologda people are kind and open. In Moscow, you also loved to be in historical places?

As, probably, all the indigenous Muscovites, I paid little attention to the sights of my hometown. Firstly, once, and secondly, always, they say, they will have time and you are often seen in Cherepovets at various concerts. For example, at a recent concert of virtuoso-Balalayer, Alexei Arkhipovsky. Moreover, you come there as a simple citizen. Do you feel comfortable in the hall, because you probably look at you and whisper at you, they say, “look - the director came”?

Do you often visit such cultural events in Moscow? Those who know are greeted. And in stores, by the way, too. I’m not only walking around concerts. As for your phrase “as a simple citizen”, I am a simple city dweller. I also try to get out for performances here. In Moscow, this rarely succeeds. The main reason: getting somewhere in the capital is at least one and a half to two hours.

And here - ten minutes. I can calmly go to a concert or a performance in half a second, and then return in the same ten minutes, if necessary, to work. How do you decide where to go, but where not? What is more interesting to you - theater, music? .. Visiting teams or local ones? I am happy to go to concerts of local groups - the “Russian North”, “Guests”, the Hinsky Orchestra, and the Todes ballet.

And I decide very simply: the coming event should initially interest me and should be free time. You play a piano. She herself saw you musical at the Severstal New Year's corporate party. At the same time, it seemed to me, you played the piano without playing the public. Where did you study music? What do you like and prefer to perform? I can come home from work at 11 pm and play on the synthesizer that I brought with me.

What will come to mind - I play. But this is not classical music. A little backstory: I graduated from a music school in the class of cello, graduated from many decades ago and since then I have never taken this instrument in my hands. At the same time, in the muscle, we had the subject "General piano." I attended these lessons reluctantly, more precisely I walked.

As a result, I was removed from them, and no one knew about this for several years. About a year and a half before the graduation, the teacher learned about it and scored an alarm - they would simply not have been given a certificate. With the piano teacher, I still communicate with her lucky: she entered my position. I realized that in the remaining time it is difficult to teach me how to perform classics.

And we agreed to learn to play the music closer to me - the stage. She taught me to select melodies and accompaniment by ear. So since then I have been playing the piano - by ear. Not many of those who played well on notes were able to select melodies without notes, so I turned out to be very in demand: after graduating from a music school, I played on the keys in VIA. And at dancing, and at weddings, and even went on tour.

I also mastered the accordion. But I always play solely what I want, not by order, for my pleasure. Well, people seem to be pleased, because it is unusual. As a spellbound, I looked at the process of steel smelting.

Alexander Grubman biography

I experienced the same delight when, working at Severstal Resource, I first went down to the mine. I used to see all this only in films. Delight, but a completely different kind, I am caused by children's groups of the Palace of Metallurgists. When I look at the performances of the Super-Snip Circus or the Ensemble “Peas”, my tears are welling. And I am always admired by high professionalism.

If I see that a person is in his business - this is also delighted with me. And boundless respect. Can you formulate what you are interested in in this life? Get the result from this. To come up with something, implement and get a result. What is more interesting: the process itself is the formation of an idea and its embodiment - or the final result? After all, if there is no result, then the process itself is incorrect.

It is difficult to draw a clear separation here. There should not be a process for the process itself. Both are important. I just like to solve managerial problems, like to work with people, find the right ways to go after me. And what else fascinates you? And for me, there was a lot of new things in Severstal. After all, I initially - by education, in the previous work - a food, not a metallurgist or miner.

New tasks, new people, new places are interesting. Previously, this person led a plant that produces some kind of equipment and has nothing to do with the “confectionery”. The journalist asks: how can you lead the confectionery factory if you used to manage a completely different enterprise? What follows the answer: management decisions in any business are in principle the same.

And for specific technologies there are specific specialists. The managers themselves perceive such an answer with understanding. What can not be said about any other, not managerial, environment. You have a similar situation. For many years you were a manager in a completely different industry. They came across such an attitude: “But he does not understand anything in metallurgy, how will he lead the plant?

And in the "Severstal Resource" at first. And here. There was something to hide, and rejection: “Well, after all, he used to work in the dairy industry, glazed cheese sciences
