Academician Caprine Biography
Irina Krasnopolskaya one hundred years ago, December 30, the USSR - an integral part of the history of our country, and the biography of many of us. And the descent of the Soviet flag over the Kremlin on December 25 was both the drama and the stubborn hope of people to maintain unique human ties in the new community of independent states. The Soviet medical school was one of the strongest in the world.
In this historical photo, the director of the Institute of Experimental and Clinical Oncology, the President of the USSR Academy of Medical Sciences Academician Nikolai Nikolaevich Blokhin conducts an operation. How does modern scientists develop it, acting as a "united front"? The son of General Andrei Dmitrievich! And also a permanent author and expert "RG".
And on the rights of a long friendship, we will start a conversation not with professional, but with a personal one. Your surname was known long before you became the leading oncologist of Russia. You are not for the helm of the plane, but with a scalpel in your hands. Being the son of a great father is not easy. Andrei Kaprin: In our large family, the father was an indisputable authority.
You can save people's lives not only behind the helm of the plane, but, you are right, and with a scalpel in your hand. I identified my path myself. But thanks to the support of his father, his advice. I am not a fan of high words, but my father was and throughout my professional life remains for me an example of fidelity to the chosen business, duty, devotion to people, selflessness.
The memory of the father is stored in the family carefully. It is gratifying for us that one of the schools in Moscow bears his name. Your sons followed in the medical footsteps Andrei Kaprin: medicine is also a ministry. I am glad that the surname "Caprine" continues to serve our country. And I can’t ask the country's main oncologist: how did the collapse of the union into the quality of oncological assistance in our countries have influenced?
Even before Victory Day! Our teachers, among whom are academician Alexander Ivanovich Savitsky, and the state leaders who listened to them understood that incredible stress and damage to the health of military and civilians inflicted by the Great Patriotic War, the suspension of the medical examination system, examinations, and will affect the growth of oncological diseases, and the identification of launched stages.
And one of the most important solutions was the creation of a network of relevant institutions in almost all regions and republics of the USSR. Of course, oncological assistance was provided for up to a year. However, it was in this year that it was ordered and systematized. It was this system that became the basis of the oncological services of many, which have already become independent, the former republics of the Union.
This service, the system of accounting for cancer patients, the so-called registryanter-registry, were and remain an example of a systematic approach to early diagnosis, control of treatment and continuity. A similar system, the principle of independence of oncology dispensaries, coupled with the support of the Ministry of Health of Russia and the Russian government allowed the service to survive during the Covid pandemic.
Not one, I emphasize, not a single dispensary was closed or re -profiled. Medical assistance was provided in full. Unlike Western colleagues, where many oncological departments based on multidisciplinary hospitals and medical centers were either rebuilt to the help of patients with coronaviral infection, or are closed to quarantine. For decades, it is impossible to break the developing scientific and personnel relations?
Andrey Kaprin: Impossible and not necessary! It was for the unification of specialists - oncologists and relevant institutions of the CIS countries that this association was created. Its founder was our great scientist Nikolai Nikolaevich Trapeznikov. Today, the honor of being elected president of the Association is entrusted to my interlocutor Andrei Caprine: and we try to preserve and increase the spirit of cooperation and mutual assistance.
Coordination of scientific research is underway, joint seminars, webinars, internships are conducted. We have a common enemy - cancer. He does not choose nationality, gender, citizenship. And only by uniting, we can withstand him. Andrey Kaprin: In the confrontation of the ailments, the Commonwealth is always extremely important. Photo: Sergey Mikheev has repeatedly witnessed your communication with foreign colleagues.
Andrey Kaprin: And how else! And according to the Charter of the Association, we are obliged to gather for a general meeting and board. At the oncology of oncology and radiology, which was held in the anniversary forum of oncology and radiology, which we spend annually with the Association of Russian Oncologists, the main oncologists of Uzbekistan, Belarus, were in person.
Colleagues from Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and other countries were connected. We hold a competition among young oncologists, where the guys present their work, receive prizes and the possibility of internships in the best medical institutions of the CIS countries. Together we analyze the regulatory acts regulating the operation of radiological and radiological equipment. We conduct these studies with physicists, nuclear people, research institutes.
One of the main tasks of the association: the creation of a single information space on the measures of the anti -cancer struggle for all CIS participants. The oncological service of the USSR was created not once, but in a year. Even before Victory Day!And if you are invited by colleagues from, say, Armenia, will you go? Andrey Kaprin: With pleasure! In the confrontation, the Commonwealth is always extremely important.
Especially when it is cancer. Once an interview with a person who devoted his life to the service of medicine, your predecessor as director of the MNIOI named after Herzen Academician Valery Ivanovich Numbers, I entitled "the day will come - the cancer will be defeated." Andrei Kaprin: Unfortunately, often, especially in philistine life, we operate with concepts that cannot be interpreted exclusively unambiguously.
What is the victory over cancer for you? Preventive tablet or vaccination that you drank or made an injection, and you know that you will not get cancer? A magic tablet that alone will be cured of any kind of oncological disease? However, you are cruel Andrei Kaprin: No. It’s just that my answer will begin with the words: depending on what we consider the victory over cancer.
The fact that medicine and oncological science are seven -mimic steps is undoubtedly. What seemed unthinkable for us several decades ago is successfully applied in practice today: full -genomic sequencing, nuclear medicine, immunotherapy, car -t therapy, radiation therapy - proton, ionic, complex surgery, ultra -modern medicinal therapy all this allows you to completely cure oncological patients, increasing its quality.
Yes, I repeat for the hundredth time: early diagnosis is the key to the successful treatment of cancer. Its first and second stages are better to be treated, passing into the category of chronic diseases and a peasant period. Treatment of advanced third, fourth stages is much more costly and from the point of view of financial burden, and in time, and in resources. Yes, the development of the latest methods of combined and comprehensive treatment of cancer is very relevant.
But no less relevant is the education of the population, the prevention of cancer, their early detection. Our methodological and organizational work with primary link doctors is relevant. It is they who should recognize or suspect cancer, competently route the patient. And therefore, maybe the day of victory over cancer should become a day when we all realize our responsibility for our own health.
We begin to go through the necessary examinations in time, monitor the health of older relatives. And the primary link doctors - to recognize oncological disease in time. Will this day come? And the Commonwealth with colleagues from other countries is clearly appropriate. We met Zafar Husseinzoda almost a year ago at the cancer forum in Moscow. He was born in the year in the city of Gissar in a family of teachers.
He graduated with honors from high school. Then the Tajik State Medical University named after Abuali Ibni Sino with a degree in the "medical case". And he was immediately hired by the Republican Oncology Center of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Tajikistan as an oncologist on the tumors of the head and neck. About Zafar we can say: an oncologist for life. Since August, he has been heading the head of Tajikistan oncological institution.
The author of more scientific works, eighteen textbooks. But he defended a doctoral dissertation on a difficult oncological problem regarding the diagnosis and treatment of Sarkom, in the year in Moscow - at the Russian Oncology Scientific Center named after Herzen. Trapeznikova for the achievements of the Commonwealth of Independent States in the field of oncology.
He is a member of the dissertation council consisting of the Russian and Tajik Higher Schools in the specialties "Surgery" and "Oncology" when they get to meet, talk on different topics, because doctors are usually educated, if you like, intellectual elite - medical problems cannot be circumvented. Service - it is ministry. And the father of two children, Zafar Khabibullo, tries to immerse the interlocutor - in this case - on the way to implement a new special program for the years of combating cancer patients.
