Maine with the unbending confidence of the famous and successful person assures Ellie that all this is nonsense and she urgently needs to sing something with him with a duet. One successful performance develops into a whole tour, and professional relations turn into a romantic connection. Maine managers and friends first rejoice at how positively the presence of Ellie affects the life of the musician: he stops getting drunk every evening and again begins to show interest in music.
However, as soon as Ellie comes to Ellie, and with it producers who better know how to advance the girl’s careers, relations between musicians spoil, and empty bottles begin to appear on the back background. The star glued up Bradley Cooper, who became famous after working with David O. Russell and Clint Eastwood, gained strength for his own directorial debut - the third remake of the painting “The Star Born”, which was first released more than 80 years ago and since then it has haunted Hollywood producers.
Once the film was supposed to shoot the end of the end, and Beyoncé claimed the main role of the unexpectedly born star, but only the merchant, who was the director, the script, and the performer of one of the main roles, managed to collect all the pieces of this story. The first thirty minutes of the film are similar to the ending of some other film, where the heroes of Cooper and Lady Gaga went through a protracted and unpleasant path to glory and love, they suffered noble, but in the end they received everything they dreamed about. However, the “star was born” does not believe in the happy endings and “lived happily and happily”: only stories that have not yet ended with a good ending, and after an extremely optimistic principle, the Cooper leaves the head in the dark side of glory, success, rivalry and dependence.
The star died, long live a star! The star Ellie is born with the help of her mentor and partner Jackson Mein, who perceives the first successes of the girl as her own. However, the more rapidly the popularity of Ellie grows, the more obvious the gap between the copyright approach of Maine and the commercialization of Ellie music. If at the beginning of Ellie is close to Jackson's country style, then by the time the Grammy was presented, the girl turns into a bad clone of Lady Gaga herself: “PIPL”, as they say, is “hawing”, but looking at the transformation of a girl without alcohol becomes really difficult.
At this point, the second birth of the Ellie star is, which simultaneously becomes the death of a musician who was opened by Maine: “The star was born” is a rather brutal statement about production projects in music, far from the real desires of the musicians themselves. On the other hand, with condemnation, you can also look at Maine himself, who believes that in pop music everyone was sold and lost their real ones as soon as they agreed to dance, and the real music take up the souls on the stage with guitars, without unnecessary special effects and sparkles.
This approach is a too narrow look at music, denying the unconditional talents of the same Beyoncé and Lady Gaga. Creating large, spectacular shows is often as difficult as to record very personal songs. And the example of the same Beyoncé and her “Lemonade” shows that show business does not always contrast himself with the artist’s personal statement. The area of personal responsibility, where there are no angels in addition to issues of the musical industry, “the star was born” also affects the dependence of both alcohol and narcotic and how it affects the relationship.
For Jackson Maine, who has suffered from alcoholism for many years and abusing “pills”, Ellie becomes not only a protege and wife, but some kind of “angel of pure beauty”, who is forced to save Jackson from self-destructive instincts.
Such an attitude towards women is characteristic not only for the musical industry, but also for society as a whole: a woman should be a mother, the guardian of the hearth, the savior and a constant source of inspiration. But Ellie, like women in real life, is not an angel, but quite real, created from blood, muscles and nerve endings, a person who is trying to deal with his problems and did not sign up for additional saving operations.
