Biography of Sverdlovsk

Project "Sverdlovsk digest". The author of the project and the ideological inspirer: the scientific secretary of the Museum of the History of Yekaterinburg, historian Evgeny Burdenkov Organizers: the History Museum of Yekaterinburg and the Sverdlovsk Regional Film Film Film. The sources of the story and show are photo and newsreels, newspaper messages and archival certificates.

The next meeting of the "Sverdlovsk digest" is February 25. Follow the announcements! Yes, the film lecture of the historian Evgeny Burdenkov returned to us! By the anniversary of Yekaterinburg, we decided to look in more detail into the history of our city, plunge into the life of people of that time. At each meeting of the Sverdlovsk Digest through newspapers, photographs and newsreels, we observe how the townspeople were interested in.

We start this journey symbolic - January 24 ago a year. Now in the lens of discussion - 20 years of the 20th century. Further - we will get to the next decades. At the first meeting, they talked about many things - about citizens in years the bulk of the inhabitants - employees and workers, about the appearance of the first aircraft and airfields, about wooden architecture and the first buildings built by the Soviet government, on the renaming of the city from Yekaterinburg to Sverdlovsk, about the work of the Shartash radio station and modernization of telephone communications, on the fight against tuberculosis, about the guests of our city and about the guests of our city and about Many-many-many friend.

They affected the cultural life of the city, political, social and even criminal. Evgeny Burdenkov, a researcher at the History of the History of Yekaterinburg, author of the Sverdlovsk Digest: - The history of our city, in my opinion, described quite indirectly and generalizing huge periods. But in order to closely look in specific events, I have not yet met this. In Yekaterinburg, I always lacked a certain chronograph.

It is clear that the city’s history cannot be understood, even having studied a huge number of archival documents and watching a bunch of videos, photographs and newspapers. Because the history of the city is the story of all the people who live in it, one way or another. It is impossible to study thousands of biographies in order to at least slightly touch that period.

The history of buildings, institutions. Even my story today about Hood is still mythology. That is, a certain simplification and generalization of what you see. We need a certain author’s view of a contemporary at the events. Preparing for the meeting, I realized whose eyes I looked at the events of the year - the main editors of the Ural Worker. These were three people - Averbach, Kaspersky and Frost.

The first stone was laid in the construction of the Sverdlovsk water supply. An ultra -modern telephone station opened. It was in the year that for the first time we thought about the construction of the Ural Machine -Building Plant, which was described in detail on the pages of the Ural Worker. Evgeny Burdenkov, researcher at the History of the History of Yekaterinburg, author of Sverdlovsk Digest: - Our project is interesting to erudite people who love the history of the city.

It turns out that since you and I have an experimental project, we ourselves create a target audience. The first vision was presented where and when the plant appeared. And its construction, we understand, will shove the entire story of Sverdlovsk. I wanted to find a reference point, and although they also talked about this in the year, specific plans appeared just in the metro station of the large infrastructure project - the construction of two complex systems - the Sverdlovsk power plant, although the construction in M will end, the main work will have to be for a year, plus the city water supply is ready.

The whole system acts, and this is very cool, because they have been doing this for only two years. Although I was going to build 50 years! But it is still impossible to start the water supply, because there is no electricity. Therefore, everything is transferred to the next year. A lot of historical finds were made in the year. They dug up the whole city, the entire center and found two huge cemeteries.

Almost no one knows about this. At the intersection of Lenin and Khokhryakov, thirty bodies were found and decided that there was a cemetery. And the second point where another cemetery was discovered and is more or less known about it-this is the Lutheran cemetery in the place of the modern musical comedy. And at this time, a huge number of stories associated with the noble treasures that were found during excavations, and with huge underground transitions, appear in Sverdlovsk.

And something even got into the press, and it is clear how much the city was excited by rumors. There was a legend about some large box that the authorities hide. The newspaper "Ural Works" had to write that there was nothing like that, after which the Sverdlovsk residents spoke that the box was evident, it was definitely! As they say, Eugene, any training is an attempt to collect everything that is in a particular year, as if from different hoods.

When you see all this together, when you form it all in the form of a presentation, you inevitably have some clashes of thought and some discoveries. They may seem small, but to be very important for history.Several finds in the year Evgeny Burdenkov: I like to accurately date photos, because most often images of X are ready to be simply attributed to a decade, since even a year is most often impossible to determine.

Today we talked about photographs where a huge number of people bathe on the territory of the city pond. This is the opening of the Ural Profsovet water station. And there was a huge ten -meter tower right on the territory of the city pond, very close to the dam. And there is an almost complete copy of the photograph - a drawing published in the Ural Workers. And now I know not only a year, but also the exact date when it was.

Dating photos directly to a specific number is very important, because the city changes almost every minute. And I'll tell you about one photo. Preparation for today's lecture made it possible to establish what is depicted on it and where. The fact is that some antenna stuck over the building of Sevastyanov’s house in E years. What is this? I found a newspaper note-a meter antenna is installed near the communication house in order to broadcast some gears along a short radio wave.

The antenna was a short period. Now I will ask the local historians whether they agree with this statement that the photo in the photo is precisely the radio -antenna. I suddenly found an announcement about Benjamin Methenkov. He returned to Sverdlovsk and for a long time was out of work, and then he was hired at the Shkino store, who was then on Lenin Avenue. I found a newspaper note where it was signed that the head of the store is Benjamin Metenkov.

Such random finds like find a needle in a haystack. And today at the Sverdlovsk Digest we talked about many such things. The story lasted for a long time - from a year. Several contests were held, the place of installation of the monument changed several times. Finally, on July 15, a solemn opening of the memorial occurred on the Paris Commune Square, which at that time was designed to identify the new center of the city In the coming years, several buildings were supposed to appear around the monument, including the Uralobkom of the CPSU B, to which the bronze I.

Recall that the Sverdlovsk Digest project was timed to the Foundation of the foundation of Yekaterinburg. And it takes place as part of the exhibition "Sverdlovsk. Name index. " Organizers: Museum of History of Yekaterinburg and the Sverdlovsk Regional Film Fund. These are the first five-story giant houses-the central hotel and the house of the City Council, and the first house of the culture of the foods.

And only that evening in our cinema, the poetry of Vladimir Mayakovsky, because the great poet 94 years ago not only visited Sverdlovsk, but also wrote poetry about him. Evgeny Burdenkov:-The year is the time when some incredible number of objects was commissioned, many of them are now monuments, and half of them still serve. But what always caused me admiration was a wooden development.

One of my favorite places for me was the streets of Avangard and Kirovgradskaya on Uralmash, where until a certain time the development of the first wooden houses of Uralmashevites was preserved. They were built in years. They were erected by artisans like village houses, that is, according to the classic log house. Such houses can live both hundred and two hundred years.

I always liked this block of buildings, because this is the starting point of the new story of Sverdlovsk. Because the construction of Uralmash was completely shoveled, rewarded our city on the map of the Soviet Union. Without Uralmash, it would be a completely different Sverdlovsk. This is evidenced by at least such a figure - between and years the population of the city has more than doubled.

And this is due to the construction of Uralmash. Such an increase, of course, was, first of all, at the expense of the former peasants who came to the tickets for large construction sites. It was they who became the first inhabitants of Avangard Street. Now the wooden houses of those years are almost completely replaced by modern development. But for the time being in Uralmash, there was such a secret place where it was even possible to make a movie about Uralmash of the year.

What is surprising ... The year in Sverdlovsk is the time of active development of new spaces: the factory factory is being built Uralmashzavod and the new educational center of the city - the complex of buildings of the Ural Polytechnic Institute. But, of course, the most high -profile event was the launch of the tram movement in the city. The solemn rally was attended by Anna Nikolaevna Bychkova, the first and only female chairman of the Sverdlovsk City Council.

It was she who cut the symbolic red ribbon.

Biography of Sverdlovsk
