Ryaskov Aleksey Biography

A face from the cover download PDF by the regional magazine Samara and the Province, July 2, May 2, for Samara, was marked by a vivid event in the world of martial arts and became a significant milestone in the sports career and in the life of Alexei Ryaskov - the president of the Professional Kikboxing Federation of the Samara region and the head of the martial arts club Alexander Nevsky.

At the International Mixed Martial Arts Tournament, “Battle on the Volga-12” GFC 12 Alexei, who had not played in a professional ring for almost ten years, went to a duel with a younger and stronger opponent in the hardest version of Kikboxing K-1 and won the world's belt. In an interview with the winner, we learned what unlimited willpower is, supernatural courage and the dream of all life.

Alexey Ryaskov: I was born in Samara and, like most boys, showed interest in a variety of martial arts. Therefore, it came to the sport quite early - in the second grade, dad took me to the boxing section. At that time, he led the Volga sports club, and it was there that my sports path began. For the rest of my life, I remembered the words of Viktor Kuzmich, which he wrote about me in his recommendation for another coach: "I send you the future world champion." I was then 8 years old.

For several years I was engaged in boxing, but at the turn of the X and X and X and the country they again legalized karate, and films appeared in the videos with the participation of such martial arts masters as Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, Chuck Norris, Jean-Claude Van Damm, all the youth again reached out into the eastern martial arts. I went to one of the first karate sections at that time in the house on Lenin Avenue 1.

I was trained by Valentin Bespalov, his mentor was Sergey Gamov, and the section was led by Alexander Petrovich Semenyuk, a well -known person in the Samara martial arts. I really liked to study there, perform at local competitions - city, regional. However, the section closed two years later. I began to go from one section to another, but the times, as you know, were complex - the beginning of X - and in many sections, sport as such was not the main thing.

And I wanted to grow precisely as an athlete, to perform at high -level competitions. Finally, I found what I was looking for. It was a section at the Aerospace University, led by Andrei Ivashkin, our Sensei, and his direct coach was his student Ivan Pershin. Also legendary personalities. After the basements, I was struck by the spacious hall, where many people were engaged. At first it was very difficult - serious loads, a serious attitude to training.

I received a lot at sparring, since the technique was more stringent, contact. But this turned me even more, and after six months I established myself in the main composition and began to travel to city and regional competitions, showed the results. And after at the age of 18 at the Russian championship he became the third of the 43 participants in my weight category, I was awarded the title of master of sports and began to pay salaries.

And when soon the only fifty of our Samara guys was included in the Russian team, and trips to international tournaments began, I realized that the dream began to come true. Was there a desire to leave Russia? Then there were successful performances in Luxembourg, Helsinsky and in other cities and countries. I remember that after the first time I won the European Championship for the first time, they gave me a car - a new Vazovskaya “nine” of a fashionable “prize”.

At that time, it was cool. Of course, during the first foreign passages struck the contrast with our reality, I was like Alice in Wonderland. But there was no desire to leave the country for good. Always pulled home to Russia, where there was a favorite thing, friends, parents who always supported me were happy with every medal, every cup, every my victory or just a good performance.

In addition, since I trained at the University of Aerospace, on the advice of the coach I went there to study, so that, as he said, to train not only muscles, but also his head. Moreover, he studied at one of the most difficult faculties - at an engineer of air transport. After graduating from the institute, he continued to train and somehow imperceptibly served in the army, in the sports company of the Air Force, playing for the Russian team from the Armed Forces.

Still continuing to perform in a professional ring, I already worked as a coach - I prepared the national team of the Samara region on contact karate. Everyone was engaged in contact karate. Only at the end of x, kickboxing began to conquer our country, especially after the appearance of K-1, when the Japanese version of kickboxing became one of the most developed professional martial arts in the world.

When I was the head coach of the Samara team, the rules of contact karate changed, made them more strict. They punished for hard contact, and this species has largely lost entertainment. Then we decided to retrain to kickboxing. Moreover, the fights according to K-1 are most close to the contact carat. They are distinguished by high intensity, a large number of strokes with hands and legs.We can say that K-1 is the most stringent version of kickboxing.

They began to develop a new direction, go to competitions. And in the year, two of my students - Shamil Abasov and Mikhail Tyuterev almost synchronously became world champions. Abasov won the Wako World Championship final in Brazil, and Tyuterev won the championship of the TNA World Championship in Kazan a week later, having passed four very strong rivals, including two existing world champions.

I was struck that such great victories remained almost unnoticed. For the first time, Samara athletes won the World kickboxing championship, and no sports official came to congratulate them. Only one of the newspapers flickered in a small congratulation. It is clear that the sport is not Olympic, and therefore the ministry supports only an amateur federation, the main purpose of which is to involve more youth in martial arts.

But is the prestige of the Samara region in the international arena not important? Therefore, we decided to further develop this sport through the creation of a professional kickboxing federation of the Samara region. She appeared the same year. This allowed us to obtain sufficient independence and independence, to attract people who are interested in sports, sponsors, open branches, conduct professional and amateur tournaments.

Our first hall on Novo-Sadovaya Square of square meters today seems to be a tight room. It became a little easier in the year when we opened the hall on the street of Leninskaya Square. There even managed to place a small sports cafe and a sports center shop. There are more guys to study. But, of course, that hall cannot be compared with the current one.

The martial arts club "Alexander Nevsky" on the Moscow highway opened in the year. The pride of the club is a large spacious sports hall with high ceilings. Its total area is, and useful is about square meters. I believe that today it is one of the best halls of the Volga region. There are a full-fledged ring, a cell-octagon for fights, a functional training area and much more that is necessary for full training of professional athletes.

In accordance with our idea, the Alexander Nevsky club united representatives of many types of martial arts: kickboxing, boxing, Jiu-jitsu, Thai boxing, darling, MMA, combat sambo and others. We have the best coaches of the Samara region, a comfortable friendly atmosphere reigns. The guys are engaged with pleasure, and today there are many talented young athletes who try their hand at prestigious tournaments.

I want to emphasize that all this is done by our own forces and the forces of our partners and sponsors. It was not easy, but we performed what we planned, because our motto in sports and in life - “Do not retreat and not give up! What expressed you after such a large break, at 41 years old, again go to such a serious duel? How did the preparation go and the battle itself? All this at one point coincided, and I called and announced my desire to Alexander Guryanov - the President of the Federation of the Samara region, the head of the promotion of the Battle of the Volga.

And I am immensely grateful to him for the opportunity to fight at this tournament. He is one of the few people who made really great efforts to realize my dreams. I did not choose an opponent for myself, and to be honest - I was indifferent to someone to fight. Preparations for the championship battle lasted six months. On this path, I had to overcome many difficult obstacles, trials.

Since I was preparing and sparks with the strongest kickboxers of Russia - Alexander Stetsurenko, Armen Israel and other guys - there were a lot of injuries in the process of preparation: I broke the rib, broke the tendon on the foot, damaged his right knee, and broke a finger on his leg three days before the battle. And this is not counting smaller injuries. Over the past week before the battle, he kept on injections and procedures.

Many relatives and friends actively discouraged me from participation, but I was not used to retreat and rely on fate. My rival Maxim Zotov is 34 years old. Before our battle, he won the Russian Cup, the FCO championship, became the third at the Russian championship, held three fights in Thailand at the Thai boxing tournament. It was with him that I had to fight on May 10 at the MTL Arena.

During the first round, I managed to attack, but at its very end I missed a strong blow, after which I almost went into the knockout. The break allowed to recover, although injuries were increasingly making themselves felt. At the beginning of the second round, during the attack, I managed to hook the opponent in the right hypochondrium, in the liver area.

I realized that this is my chance, and put all my energies, all my soul, all determination, attacking in the right direction. I invested in every blow, preventing my opponent for a moment to come to my senses. After two knockdowns at the second of the second round, I knocked him out. At the moment before that, the opponent’s coach threw a towel into the ring to stop the duel, recognizing the defeat. Thus, I won the technical knockout and became the world champion.

Emotions, of course, overwhelmed. There were many relatives in the hall. People I love. They actively supported me, and for this I am very grateful to them. Indeed, at 42 years old, staying at the top of professional sports, especially in martial arts, is very difficult. They do not scare me - I'm not afraid of rivals, I am not afraid of defeats. Just in order to move further than my long -standing children's dream, I need to understand why or for whom I do this.
