He made a significant contribution to the general victory over fascism. Childhood and school years Mikhail Ivanovich Shuidin was born in the village of Cossack in the year today - Shkinskiy district of the Tula region.

The family was simple: the father worked as a shepherd, the mother was a worker at the factory. The boy lost his father early. After his death, he moved with his mother closer to Moscow - to Podolsk. Mikhail Shuidin grew up an active and curious child. In his school years, he mastered the game on Domra, shock musical instruments, participated in various amateur performances.

His dream was to become a gymnast. Following her, he stubbornly engaged in acrobatics and acting. In the school of factory apprenticeship, he learned to be a locksmith. In the year he entered the School of circus art in Moscow. There were a lot of goals, but the Great Patriotic War prevented all plans, which burst into every family and turned life over before and after.

After training, Shuidin was sent to the tank brigade with the rank of lieutenant. A year later, he commanded the tank T Mikhail Shuidin took part in the battles near Stalingrad, for Rostov-on-Don and Matveev Kurgan, where our military suffered heavy losses. On his account there are many brave battles and victories. His tank platoon performed the first and only feat: independently, without artillery and infantry support, forced the Viliya River.

The Soviet military managed to capture the bridgehead, and then to hold it for about a day and a half before the arrival of support. From the memoirs of Mikhail Ivanovich: “We held the bridgehead near the city of Smorgoni Belarus, expected help, but it was not there. The Nazis began to pull away military forces to attack at night. Time passed, but the enemy never came. Later, the captured German soldier said that his comrades listened to the conversations of the tankers: Shuidin read the stories of Zoshchenko, and those laughed loudly.

Such fun confused enemies: the Germans decided that the Russians were not panicked, because they had a lot of effort to give a worthy rebuff to attack. The first on the offensive went the tanks of Danilov and Shuidin. The enemy was defeated. Tankers demonstrated courage and courage, however, they were not even presented. In August, Sherman Mikhail Ivanovich was beaten by enemies. The combat vehicle broke out, but Mikhail managed to get out, there were strength to crawl into the rear.

He was very burned, but it was lucky that he was accidentally found by the orderlies. Shuidin was sent to the rear hospital. For six months he fought to survive. Because of the strong burns on the face and hands, scars remained, the joints on the fingers lost mobility, vision fell sharply. But Mikhail Ivanovich Shuidin did not give up: he studied, developed joints, was able to partially recover and achieve the removal of disability.

Mikhail had many feats, but he did not receive the title of Hero of the Soviet Union. Documents for the award were collected, but one of the officials decided that the soldier was awarded only the Order of the Red Banner, so his candidacy was rejected. Mikhail Ivanovich could not become the post-war years and career: due to serious injuries in the war, he did not give complex acrobatic tricks.

But the dream of working in the circus still did not leave the artist. Then he decided to become a clown. He later explained his desire: "In the war years, people suffered a lot, and I wanted to make their life happier." After the war ended, Mikhail took part in circus hacks. He read humorous stories, made up in breaks and performed in front of the public with a clowning. However, soon the realization came that such hack is not serious, it can ruin his talent, destroy as an artist.

It was decided to enter the circus studio of the famous clown of the pencil. The competition was huge, but managed to do. Here Mikhail Shuidin met Yuri Nikulin. Mikhail Rumyantsev organized their duet. Soon the clowns became popular, they visited almost all corners of the USSR. Mentor Mikhail Rumyantsev constantly praised Shuidin, noted his talent and said that he really felt the circus.

But soon Mikhail decided to leave the circus studio of the pencil. There were two reasons for this: the leadership for a long time did not raise the bet, and the artist was tired of walking in the students.

Nikulin also left for him. Soon their joint clown duet appeared. In it, Shuidin played the role of the provocateur, and Nikulin was a simpleton, which fell for the tricks of a comrade. All reprisals are the joint work of Mikhail and Yuri. In addition, they often had to improvise. Shuidin was a master of all hands: basically he did the whole props for the numbers. Each guest was phenomenal-almost everyone wanted to get to the clowning, because of which the halls were crowded, there were not enough places for everyone.Actors had to organize additional ideas.

Soon, Yuri Nikulin began to act in films, his acting career began to quickly gain momentum. Spectators began to come to the clowning more because of a meeting with the “movie star”. Nikulin was showered with ovations, after the performances he got more compliments and attention. In addition, he received the title of Honored Artist, and Mikhail much later-in because of a dense schedule, Yuri increasingly missed the tour, and in him he completely left the arena.

The clown duet lasted 30 years. After the flight, Nikulin ended the artist’s career, after that he became the director of the circus, and then - the director. Mikhail Shuidin did not have the opportunity to leave the arena with the same ease. He continued to play performances in the clown genre with his new partner - the son of Vyacheslav. Filmed in films and documentaries. In the last years of his life, Shuidin was more and heavier than performances: the age and illness of the lungs affected.

Soon, Mikhail developed cancer. The last time he went to the arena a few days before his death. He died on August 24 in Moscow. Then not a single newspaper wrote about the death of the famous clown. In honor of Shuidin and Nikulin, a monument was erected in Kursk next to the circus building. People said that the monument to Mikhail Ivanovich Shuidin wanted to be erected next to the circus in Tula, but for some reason they did not support the initiative.
