In addition, I know that you spent four years of life in Moscow. Yes, I speak freely in Armenian, English and Russian. When I left Armenia, I was very young. I spent some time in Moscow and other places in Russia. And how do you like Russia and Russian people? I fell in love with Moscow, visited many other cities - this is a wonderful country. By the way, I will still highlight the city of Stavropol - my close friends live there.

In Moscow, you first got into the theater studio and showed yourself as an actor ... Where did this desire come from - to play? Yes, I went there ... for the sake of interest, but at that time I had a lot of problems, so I could not do what I wanted, and it was difficult to call the beginning of an acting career. Do you see changes in MMA, the difference between the battles of the "old school" and modern? Yes, there was a great career ... One of my favorite fighters is Fedor Emelianenko. When you watch his battles, you see the best shows of all time! Now, however, there are also such fights, there are many excellent fighters. Are you a basic judoka? Please tell me about your achievements in amateur sports.

And by the way, what can you say about judo and sambo as a base for MMA? Strictly speaking, my base is sambo. I started with sambo when I was six years old, then I competed in judo. He won the championship of Armenia and spoke twice at the World Sambo Championships. Then, already in America, I won the California and the United States in judo and many other tournaments - I can’t remember everyone, but I remember what I liked.

As for the base ... Yes, I think that sambo, judo and, of course, Olympic types of struggle are the basis for good MMA fighters. Roman Mitichyan, UFC. What place does sport take in your life now? Sport is constantly with me, I would like me to have more time for frequent workouts, but I still do it, this is a significant part of my life. Moreover, the sports past helped me in many "military" roles and gave many opportunities to get acquainted with good people.

And what's more likely: to perform in MMA or act in a movie? These are two different feelings, and everywhere its own special adrenaline. To everyone - his own time and their place, and I love both classes. After fifteen professional performances, I finished with battles. Now I really like to act, I like to work in Hollywood. Basically, you play brutal "bad guys." Didn't you want to ever change the role and become “good”?

In Hollywood, this is called “casting of types” ... No, I am quite happy because I work all the time, and people trust my work what is most important.

And then, I already have a few “good” roles, I played a “good guy”. You starred with Kean Reeves, and with Bruce Willis, and with many other stars ... with which of the colleagues in the Hollywood workshop did you like to work the most? Yes, I had the pleasure of working with many legends, such as Bruce Willis, Keanu Reeves, Sylvester Stallone and others - I spent time with them perfectly and useful, they were all very professional in their business and invariably respectful in communication.

As far as I know, you are now making a new film ... I started to play directing, now I will act and shoot, because I like the whole process! The creation of films is a very creative process. Now I'm trying to create a movie - two projects are already in the process. Are you more than an American or Armenian?Can these two identity in one person be adjacent to the same? I am an Armenian and proud of it.

I was born in Armenia. Armenia is my homeland. I am a US citizen and I am also proud of this - I had many opportunities provided to me by the United States. Now this country is my house, I never forget such great values ​​as the American dream and love of America. How often does it work to visit Armenia? Are there no projects at home, or with Armenian colleagues?

Recently, I really often visit Armenia. Maybe, yes, someday I will shoot the film here ... Armenia is going through difficult times-a difficult day war and its terrible results, political instability ... Your colleague Serge Tankean, for example, often speaks about it to everyone as his heart tells him. What do you think? What, in your opinion, is the future of Armenia and the Armenian people?

Each has its own path, and politics is very dirty, and I do not fit into it. But I know one thing: Armenia has an ancient story, we are strong and we will achieve the truth in this difficult time, and any troubles are not eternal.
