The biography of Imam Maturidi

Who is Abu Mansur al-Maturidi? Praise to Allah - the Lord of the Worlds, the world and the blessing of Allah to our prophet Muhammad, his family and his associates! And then: today the name of Imam Abu Mansur al-Maturudi on the lips of many Muslims, and it has become so famous that even people who have no idea about religion have probably heard about him. This is especially observed among Russian -speaking Muslims, and the reason for this is many representatives of the Duma of the CIS countries, who want to impose the Hanafit Mazhab in matters and maturditska to Muslims - in beliefs.

However, the question arises: “Who is Abu Mansur al-Maturudi, around whom so much noise has been raised and who have so many followers? In these books there is no description of his life, how he was brought up, his travels on the path of the demand of knowledge. There is none of this except a little mention. Muhaddis left his page empty. I also did not find anything about his biography and in the encyclopedias of scientists in the “nahu” grammar of the Arabic language, the “adab” Arabic literature “Lugauin” of linguists, and this is more than twenty sources.

And nothing is completely known about his travels on the way of knowledge of knowledge.

The biography of Imam Maturidi

And it is not known whether Al-Maturudi left at least once beyond Samarkand or not?! But most of all I was surprised that al-Safdi did not mention the imam of Maturudi, although he pledged to tell everyone in his book, saying: “I did not leave a single righteous caliph, associate, Tabiin, ruler, Kadya, Vizier of the Minister, Muhaddis, Fame, the righteous or the well-known person, the writer, the poet, the doctor, the wise man, the founder Or a well-known specialist in some science, any best of the best.

” I also did not find a word about him in books about the currents and schools of Mazhab, except as some contemporaries wrote about him. Also, neither Sheikhul-Islam Ibn Timiy, nor Ibn al-Qayim mentioned him in his books, except that Sheikhul-Islam mentioned him among those who followed the path of Jahmites and among those who went through Ibn Kilyaba. However, I did not find this book either printed or in manuscripts, but if it were found, then it would gain fame.

I was surprised by the news that the Maturidites themselves, who so extol their imam, did not mention in detail about his life. I do not know the reason for this gap and I can not explain. I listed all these books in order to show the reader how much effort I had to make in search of his biography; And also in order to facilitate the one who is interested in his life.

After this labor -intensive work, I did not find anything that would be connected with his biography, the year of death, except for the little grains of his life, his teachers and students. I found nothing about the biography of his father, grandfather, great -grandfather, his women. Now I can imagine that I was able to collect bit on this imam: Imam Abu Mansur al-Maturudi was born around the year.

He studied with his Sheikh Nasyr ibn yahyi al-Balhi, who died in the year. Al-Maturudi at that time was about ten years old, so al-Maturudi is an approximate date of birth. He died in a year, having lived for about 75 years. This is not a short time - almost a century. If this is reliable, then he also studied with Muhammad Ibn Mukatyat Ar-Razi for a year and, if Maturudi was about ten years old, then his birth date will be a year, and his life lifetime will be 95 years.

But Allah knows better. Before that, I said that I did not know anything about his travels in the request of knowledge, but Dr. Muhammad Said al-Afan said: "Maturudi's travels to Basra for Discussions on convictions reached 22 times." See Sheikhul-Islam Ansar, however, this doctor did not confirm his message, and this is a big mistake on his part. And how many mistakes this doctor made in his message besides that!

More than that I do not know anything about Imam al-Maturudi. As for someone's opinions or stories that are not confirmed by anything, I have no right to write something about them here. His teachers: in history, as it was said earlier, nothing is known about the life of Abu Manusur al-Maturudi: how he grew up, developed, from whom he demanded knowledge, and how he traveled in the way of gaining knowledge, and whether he studied from any of the scientists or not.

Of course, his four teachers say, the mention of the life of which also does not give a complete understanding of Maturudi himself and his teachers. But we will try to bring what is known: 1-Muhammad BNU Mukatil Ar-Razi, who died in the year in Hijra. Many believe that he was from Maturaudi teachers, but this has not been proven by anyone. And here are some statements by scientists about him: Zahabi said “muga fu -dufa”: “daiif” is weak: unworthy trust in the hadith ”.

This is what is known about his teachers, although the reliability of the fact that they were his teachers also in question. Undoubtedly, they left their mark on their students, including Imam Abu Mansur al-Maturudi. ” As they think!Abu Mansur al-Maturudi al-Samarcandi is ranked by the Hanafite fakiham, which is why most of the followers of this school are the Hanafite.

He did not have such followers who would make his famous school. Then there appeared such a course that adopted his beliefs, and at the same time, they claimed that they were Hanafites. I saw Maturudi’s book, which is called: “Chitababu Tauhid” a book of monotheism. Oh, Allah forgive him for this, because it would be more appropriate to call her a book of philosophy or disputes, which is full of guesses.
